K.S. Bhamra, the bhangra legend who has produced albums from the 80’s up until now is back with a release “The return”

If has the potential to appeal to a younger crowd and also the older crowd, so is taylor made for everybody. The old skool crowd will certainly be familiar with this bhangra legend produced hits such as ‘apna Sangeet’ ‘Dil Mangda’ etc.

Tappe is a a track featuring the Indian Singer Sazi, which as produced by Ryan singh/ former VIP records producer, where he has used his percussion skills. Bhamrah and Sazi work together well to produce a good track.
Pyar bina can warm you up in the mood for this album with Bhamrahs vocals shining throughout the tune. DJ VIPS has incorporated that flute again which he has used many times before, so
You can tell it is one of DJ VIPS productions easily, with the familiar flute sample which he has incorporated.
Dushman – Produced by DJ VIP who has done a great job with, but Bhamras vocal style are shown up on this one more than anything. This is one of the best tracks of the album.
Tere Naal, where Bhamra uses the use of Sazi, shows up the creativity of the track, and vip has done a good job with its production on this one, with good use of the sarangi and flute. The song flows well and does the album justice.
Bhabi is produced by DJ Kunal, who is a newbie to release further albums on the VIP label. Bhabi sounds like DJ Kunal definitely has his own style, which is excellent, as he is going in his own direction. He makes the album sound different,. With a great incorporation of the Vaja and flute in intervals, it’s great to see VIP have new talent coming up –
KS Bhamras sharp vocals are introduced by the DJ VIP dhol in ‘Punjab Bellio’ which sounds similar to other VIP. This is a catchy song aswell, although it can be seen as a filler track.
Bhamrah Boliyan features Sazi with Bhamrah again, which has been produced by DJ Kunal. To be honest he is the best guy for the job, to produce this track as he goes a good job and various styles. Good lyrics on this track too.
Track 8, Ke Hogay produced by Ryan singh is an average Ryan Singh production which is one of the 50/50 tracks from the album. This isn’t that original, and nothing is sounding new, but hey it makes one more track on the album.
Tamana is a track produced from Saq/ former Vip producer, where he has used a great production which sounds like a VIP / Ryan Singh style track. The flute sample is used again which DJ VIP likes to use. This has original lyrics too, and doesn’t follow the most common DESI lyrics….
The album ends with the track ‘Ghar Aja Soneya’ which again is produced by the newcomer DJ Kunal, and is on a different Vibe to his past tracks. This is a chilling slow beat, and is a duet between Bhamrah and Sazi, where bhamrah uses a different style altogether. Nice ending to the album.
On the whole this album is a good comeback for KS Bhamra, an album with 10 solid tracks, and defiantly one to buy if you are a Bhamra fan, and also if you are new to the bhangra scene.
I've given album this 5/10.
